Foreign Student Admission

Study MBBS at Jahurul Islam Medical College

Jahurul Islam Medical College (JIMC), Bajitpur, Kishoreganj is a Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME)-listed non-government medical college with 100 total MBBS seats, approved to admit foreign students under the Government of Bangladesh's annual admission circular. Official DGME Admission Circular (Session 2025–2026)

The Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Bangladesh, issues one circular each year governing foreign student admission into all non-government medical colleges, including JIMC. Review the full circular below before applying.

Eligibility Criteria
  • Passed qualifying examinations of 'O' Level and 'A' Level (or equivalent) with a science background.
  • 'O' Level (or equivalent) must have been passed not before 2022.
  • 'A' Level (or equivalent) must have been passed in 2024 or 2025, and completed within 3 years of the 'O' Level exam.
  • Minimum aggregated GPA of 7.0 (of 9) in 'O' Level / equivalent.
  • Minimum GPA of 5.0 (of 5) in 'A' Level / equivalent, with a grade point of at least 3.50 in Biology. A GPA below 3.50 in any single required subject disqualifies the application.
Application Process
  • Applications are accepted online only, through DGME's foreign student portal — no hard copy is accepted by any Bangladesh mission abroad.
  • Required uploads: a recent passport-size photograph, passport copy, all academic certificates and mark sheets (attested by the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the applicant's country), and proof of the USD 100 equivalence-fee transfer (see below).
  • After submitting the online application, applicants must collect a printed copy from the portal.
  • Original certificates, mark sheets, and related documents must be submitted to JIMC's Principal's office at the time of admission.
